VIA lanceert nieuwe generatie USB 3.0 controller

9 september 2011 - 16:09 VIA heeft vandaag een nieuwe USB 3.0 controller uitgebracht, namelijk de VL811. De chip is ontworpen voor gebruik in 4-poorts USB 3.0 hubs en volgt de VL810 op. De nieuwe controllerchip voegt ondersteuning toe voor USB Battery Charging Spec 1.2, zodat apparaten veel sneller opgeladen kunnen worden via USB.
