Toshiba unveils the Qosmio X500 Core i7 laptop

Backing up the Calpella launch, Toshiba has now announced its first laptop to be based on Intel's new mobile platform, the Qosmio X500. The upcoming portable machine features a 18.4-inch (1920x1080) LCD screen, an LED backlit keyboard and a numeric 10-key pad, a multi-touch touchpad, built-in harman/kardon speakers and Dolby Home Theater audio, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and also a 5-in-1 card reader.
Toshiba's laptop will come powered by a Core i7 processor, a PM55 motherboards and feature up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a GeForce GTS 250M graphics card with 1GB of memory, up to two 500GB hard drives and a Blu-Ray drive.
The Qosmio X500 will make its debut together with Windows 7 on October 22nd.
